Chinese presses
Re: Chinese presses
Hi folks
I have had a Chinese press for just 12 months which I have used to try and build the business up, had a few issues etc but all have been addressed with regards to after care service etc etc.
My plan was and is to get a larger more pro press when I can afford (Galaxy 38x38 at £500.00)
I know there are mixed reactions on the forum with regards to presses ie buy cheap buy twice, mine was from monster doodles 5 in 1 job, heat press has been ok, done the job, mug press has also been spot on but the cap press, forget it, throw it in the bin, I have since bought a galaxy press for sleeves and caps.
I'd love to know who still uses the Chinese mass produced presses and how they are getting on with them in general?
cheers

Re: Chinese presses
I have about 3 cheap Chinese presses left and love them, however I tried to update them with newer models from the same company and they were absolute crap. I'm planning to buy a new press in a couple of days so will let you know.
Re: Chinese presses
Let me know how you get on with them, had any problems with ink running after using a chinese press or all been good? I use a chinese press with dye inks, just curious.

Re: Chinese presses
HI dj, thats where I got mine from, did you get the 5 in 1 by any chance, thats the one I have at the minute, does the job although I binned the cap press as was garbage to be honest so I bought a galaxy pluto to replace it which is a great machine.
I'm on my second platen on the 5 in 1 and 2nd controller box also but both were replaced by monster under warranty.

Re: Chinese presses
I visited Monster Doodles place near York, they wouldnt let me switch on a press to test it and I got a splinter off the aliuminium base in my finger. I decided from then not to bother, Oh they also were selling popcorn machines and all sorts of other chinese trash from the same place.
Re: Chinese presses
The base isn't great mags but it's a base and a machine until I get the press I want.
Popcorn machines....made me laugh but I wouldn't be surprised, but to be fair, the press has served me well so far so fair play.
Another question sort of off topic mags, have you ever pressed JPSS onto a 100% polyester shirt, doing a job for a guy at the minute and I have jet opaque 3d and JPSS, one image on the red shirt (Jet op) and one on the white shirt (JPSS)
Just curious
thanks
