Re: Price increases for sublimation blanks
Ok just heard back from Xpres and not as bad as we thought:
"I can confirm that our discount structure will remain the same, our prices are just increasing due to the exchange rates.
We have a few products that were on a quantity price discount that will change to a single price, so the members will now get 10% off these products.
This is our hardboard products only so relates to only a handful of products."

That's a relief. They must of changed their minds. The main sales manager worked out that 10% of the new coaster and placemat prices was too much to offer - but I told him that would be a nightmare to coordinate with some prices applicable to the DSF code and others not. That 10% is better than the "best price" they offered us this morning so that's a relief. We were just in the process of updating our prices!

Are the 4062s still low break price? I am going through at least 10 boxes a week.

Sorry but no. They have removed price breaks and now £19.40 and although Xpres said to us the DSF code will not be applicable on them Justin has said it will be. Maybe you can verify when you buy your next lot as we stocked up at last weeks lower price.

Cool. If we can secure the 10% off then that works out about an extra 3 quid per box which I can probably take the hit on without passing into my clients. Without the 10% i will have to increase prices which won't go down too well!

On the topic of coasters Olly can you put me in touch with your jig maker? I don't think I can take another manual coaster and the unisub jig is awful!

Hopefully Justin got Xpres to rethink and approve 10% off but to us they only offered around £1 off as their "best price". As for jig then it was made to our requirements but only works well for fabric coasters. At the moment nothing works better than 8 coasters per A3 sheet and heat taped on 3 sides each. Takes us less than a minute. We do a few hundred per week as well so feel your pain!

I only have an a4 and really struggle with taping six to a page but going to try five at a time with four around the edges and one in the centre.

Perfect will try that. Justin, need to place an order this morning - can you give us the goahead to give Xpres the code for 10% off coasters?
