We tend to put everything in the same sacks , unless we have lots of stuff going out of different types to make it worth seperating out.
Drop it direct in the cage trolleys at the local depot, rather than faffing with the post office, which means we can drop off a lot later than we could otherwise.

If you get a 4" wide thermal printer, then you can get the rolls of 6x4" labels free from RM too, and print your address labels with the PPI info on them for free too (no ink or label cost!) Even if you're not signed up for the DMO service these labels are for, you can still order them, along with your free unlimited supply of cable ties!

What is a good priced 4" wide thermal printer at the moment, Pisquee? Currently use a Brother QL-570 and do individual copy and paste address from PayPal/Amazon to the label then print.

I think you get different prices depending on your actual/projected spend (the same with our equivalent Parcel Force account)
For CRL/24 service (equivalent of 1st class and what we mainly use), we get the following prices (ex VAT)
upto 1kg = £2.72
upto 1.25kg = £2.93
upto 1.5kg = £3.19
upto 1.75kg = £3.43
upto 2kg =£3.70

These weights approx, got quickly by quickly typing different weights into the OBA site.

Anything we ship over 2kg goes with Parcel Force where we get a set price for upto 30kg parcels

We got a 2nd hand old Datamax EX2 cheap on Ebay - about £30 IIRC
We use the free RM labels also for Parcel Force and UPS (for a client we do drop shipping for) and for labelling products going to fulfillment centres where they need barcodes, and loads of other stuff too.

I use all in one labels/invoices for my eBay stuff, so don't need an extra printer just for the labels, at present!!

Yeah, but these labels are free and there is no ink cost either!

OK, give you that, but you do have to buy the machine, and I already have a decent printer, and I print out a dispatch slip anyway, so I incorporate the address label in that along with advertising etc, so I wonder if I would be any better of or save any money?

Well, you could save money as you could print the invoice/dispatch note onto normal paper, which surely would be cheaper than integrated sticker paper? You also wouldn't need to print/buy PPI labels, as everything will fit easily onto the 6x4 label

Hum, well as everything I need is printed onto the integrated sticker paper, I do wonder if it would be cheaper. I have looked up thermal printers and they ain't cheap. Unless you know of a cheaper version, that I can use with RM stuff?

We got an old used one cheap on Ebay, about £30. Good to look on there, as some courier companies give them away to users, so some companies end up with a few of them if they use more than more courier, and then offload them.
got to admit I have no idea how much an integrated sticker sheet thing costs per page, but I'd assume it's gonna be more than standard printer paper
