Just received the email from Xpres explaining about the new price list and subsequent price increases not sure how much yet but as we've mentioned in other threads this was coming.

Anyone noticed changes with other suppliers yet?

Makes it very difficult when you have price agreements in place with your own customers at the start of each year :-(

Yes indeed. And we were straight on the phone to Xpres asking what the price increase is as very difficult to make purchasing decision when someone says price is going up but don't tell you by how much. They are apparently going to call us back. I must admit I did get a warning from Neil (from Neil Brothers) the other day who said their pricing is going up and that everyone else's will so BUY NOW. We therefore ordered a shed load from Xpres this week but will buy more in case once we know price increase.

Do let us know when you get an indication on how much the price increase will be and on what items, might be worth putting in a big order today if it is going to affect products a lot.

Think it's mostly down to the USD exchange rate and they won't know the price for sure till their payment clears on each batch of containers it's very volatile from day to day.

You get 20% less on exchange rates than before brexit currently. Would imagine they will want to add at least half that on as a starting point. No reason for the exchange rate to improve anytime soon as we will be in limbo for the next year whilst all international trade deals are being ironed out.

So who is it that has a UK coating plant..... are they going to keep their price or are they going to up their price to match the imports and reap extra profits.

Ok, just come off the phone with XPres and not great news.

We only talked about our main products we buy (coasters, placemats, keyrings, 5013 mugs) and summary is:

1) Price breaks being removed for coasters and placemats. So lowest coaster packs (XP4062) were £15.95 now becomes £19.40. And placemats (XP4063) were £1.75 now are £2.10.
2) 5013 10oz mugs from £28.80 to £32.36
3) Keyrings 5155 from 75p to 80p

Now - The DSF 10% off WILL NOT HAPPEN off these one tier prices anymore apparently and will still get you lowest tier pricing if present.

BUT - we were told that they will offer a best price on the new prices BUT dependent on your sales volume with them hence the DSF code WILL NOT get you 10% off but you will have your own set price (possibly).

Off to count the pennies in the bank and stock up!

Coralgraph have also increased their prices for Mugs. So it looks like it is going to be happening alround.
