Just saw this posted on Facebook by Serigraf, looks very interesting. I have a few concerns but wanted to show anyone that hasn't seen it here first for discussion.

It works. But you will have to play with the temperatures. Saves lots of time with the weeding.
Washing? Ive washed some samples about 6 times each and see no difference.
TMT do something similar so look for that as well.

Not sure I can make my cutter go that slow and if my girls weeded that slow they would not be working for me.

Great for the distressed look admittedly and for the rasterized look..... horses for courses.

But for plain solid images or text only I'm not so sure.

Cost wise about 80% more than vinyl. Wondering what the time difference is between conventional vinyl cut/weed/press as opposed to print/trim/pair papers then press/rub/peel/trim/press/cool/peel again and then press yet again.

I have used it for t-shirts with lots of names on the back. 25 t-shirts each with 25 names. If Im doing larger designs with solid images then its not cost effective. Use vinyl.
I did the 25 t-shirts in about half the time as it would have taken with vinyl. But it does take 90 seconds to press each A and B sheet together so I had another job to do inbetween so I didnt waste the time.
As you say. Horses for courses.

I wonder if you get the same problems as you get with the WoW stuff, if the font gets too small then the eye's of letters dont always release so you get the odd white eye left.

I raised a couple of these issues myself. It does look very good but not as a replacement.

An old thread, but, I've just bought a sample pack of gold and pressed to a maroon shirt. The result is quite stunning, very soft feel and doesn't make that plasticky crackling sound when ruffled in your hands.
The graphic I used would have been difficult if not impossible for a plotter cutter.
Now going to test in washing machine.

Isn't this the same as t.one and the foil process TMT has released which seems to be easier and quicker (about 30 seconds from start to finish!).

I am possibly missing something, but not sure what.
