Epson Stylus 9800 Reels off Paper!

Hi guys,

I've got an Epson Stylus 9800 wide format. I mainly use it to print on canvas and photo paper, the roll type not single sheet.

The problem I have is that when I load a roll, feeding the leading edge through to the marker line and then 'lock' the paper lever, the printer reels out a few feet of paper! I release the paper lever and wind it back to the line. Often when I print, again, a lot of paper will feed before printing starts! The problems might not be related.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can resolve this?
