Re: iPhone 3D case size and corners issue
Was this a run of bad cases or were they just poorly made?

Re: iPhone 3D case size and corners issue
I use sunfly cases and after much trial and error I can get them out perfectly 9 times out of 10 and these are my rules for pressing cases.
1. Make sure the jigs are hot enough- I heat mine for anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes before putting a case on.
2. When applying tape don't put extra on the corners, works sometimes but allow the vacuum to do it's job.
3. Press the vacuum on and off then check the corners for tiny creates, where there is a crease it will be white.
4. Apply moisture to the crease and rub it away very VERY gently so to not disturb the ink underneath.
5. Apply vacuum make sure it sucks down enough so that the silicone is slightly over all corners, if not the front edge doesn't look great.
6. Heat for long enough, if your having trouble with the shape then put each one into the cooling tray individually and make sure all front edges are touching the bottom. If too loose pinch the top right corner down a tad. (This was only an issue for 4's with me)
7. MOST IMPORTANTLY- keep a journal of what works and what doesn't work, eventually you will find a method that works best for your setup.

Re: iPhone 3D case size and corners issue
I'm trying to sell my set up as moving abroad and fell out with the friend I purchased it with, I'm looking to sell the bundle for £1400, willing to talk then message me!
In brief it is a double platen 3D press from sun fly.
6 printing jigs for iPhone 4 and 5 with cooling trays.
At least 500 blank cases for each model with the total number of cases closer to 1500.
Ricoh SG3100 printer with sawgrass inks
Epson p50 x2
Light box
heat gloves
heat tape
polymer paper
guillotine

Re: iPhone 3D case size and corners issue
Hi Dorlov,
Very interesting and informative posts. Have you tried printing iPhone 6Plus cases using the same settings you describe above and have the results been equally good?
I still have issues with corners. Sometimes they come out good and other times they do not. Still trying to figure out what to do.
Thanks
