It comes as a sealed package which includes the printer, the inks, a box of trupix paper and a usb cable.froggy;114108 wrote:The HD ink is for use with Virtuoso machines, that looks like your problem. Did you receive what you ordered, or did you ask MDP to supply you with the compatible ink for the printer?
Unfortunately I'm away from home and can't check the inks but I'm positive I have HD inks installed.
I have also contacted MDP to make them aware I think there may be a problem with supplied inks.

Ok I'm home and I've checked and seems I was wrong about the inks as it is indeed the Sawgrass R ink that's installed.
So I'm back to square one. I have been in contact with sawgrass and the guy I spoke to said he can connect remotely on Monday and see if he finds the problem.

Re: Hmm think i need some help.
Hi folks, just an update with a further question.
I got sawgrass to remote access my PC yes yards to which the women gave it her best but with no luck. I was then asked to email them the images I was using.
The women then got back and again accessed my PC but this time she actually removed powerdriver and told me just to run the Ricoh driver as she has installed the icc profile through the Ricoh driver.
Now here is the thing I have yet another mug a go not convinced the colours where still right but what I did notice is the actual picture was very poor once it was sublimated. In poor I mean not very sharp looking kind of like it was printed on a poor print quality setting.
Does anybody else use the Ricoh driver? If so do you wish to share the setting you use in the printer settings.
Thanks folk.

Re: Hmm think i need some help.
Sounds like they've just installed s single profile for you. The powers driver selects different profiles based around the blank you choose. Sounds like a workaround but question needs asking why you can't use power driver, you're paying a premium for this.
Re: Hmm think i need some help.
As Justin says you are paying a premium for a system which is supposed to take away many of the pitfalls associated with sublimation printing. It doesnt look like you are getting what you paid for. Your supplier really does need to sort this problem out.
Just a thought, is your paper in the printer the right side up?

Hmm you have me a bit worried now.
I have printed a couple of mugs today and I have to say I'm just not happy with them. The picture quality seems poor and again the colours seem off.
Do you think I should contact the supplier or sawgrass as I'm really ready to give up, pure waste of money considering what I paid out so far on kit and printables but I'm at the end of my tether with it. I have now wasted 12 mugs and what looks like a fair bit of expensive inks.

Hi yes I gather so, I'm printing on the bright white side.froggy;114322 wrote:As Justin says you are paying a premium for a system which is supposed to take away many of the pitfalls associated with sublimation printing. Can you put that same image through a normal inkjet printer, then at least you can rule out monitor colour settings. On a different note, thats a rather bland looking image, it needs a bit of work in Photoshop to make it pop a bit, but not to the degree your printer is putting out.
