Re: colours not right
I didn't say the inks were the same. What I said was their Epson inks work well but their Ricoh inks aren't as good. Their Ricoh inks are a thicker viscosity, even an idiot like me checked that. Either way. I wouldn't buy from them as service is lousy.
Re: colours not right
printing from silhouette is another NO-NO.
You will need: Icc profile, Software that offer colour correction features and is icc profiles "ready"
So every piece of your set up is wrong at this moment.

hi Paul, I have Corel draw and adobe illustrator, even when I use these programmes the colours are crappyPaul;114050 wrote:printing from silhouette is another NO-NO.

Re: colours not right
because you dont have icc profile. using printer with random inks, your printer doesn't know how to mix colours. your printer still thinks it has oem inks inside and use oem driver to drive the colours.
think about this like putting petrol to diesel car

Re: colours not right
So I have finished face planting the walls, doors and anything else to knock some sense into my brain. I was advised that the printer and ink that I have would work fine - obviously that was crap. Now about to order the Ricoh 3100 and proper ink - then get my profile done - and then, hopefully knock out some brilliant coloured stuff - and breathe lol.
Thank you all for your help - and hands up to being an eejit x

Re: colours not right
I hope that's the 3110? When you say proper inks, I assume you mean SG inks? If so, you will get profiles with it.
Re: colours not right
yes Justin, thank you all for your help folks. It is ordered now, hopefully this sorts it all out - if not .......................... something might just get smashed in temper lol x
