I've just received a order for 100 baseball caps with text logo on.
Now do i source the work out ? If so what price would I be looking at each? or do I buy myself a cap press and make them myself? suppose then I can offer them to other customers. This is a new field for me. ain't got a clue on pricing and weather demand calls for a machine.
Thanks Dave

If you buy then get one with the inbuilt tensioning assembly that holds the cap in place else you might lose one or two with them moving as you close the press. AND don't get one of those daft membrane heater types.

I use an Adkins beta cap press, works well. Cost determined by cap choice as well as the design

Hi
I have a Stahl basic cap press which i got from MDP there selling them for £299.00 plus VAT not the best cap press in the world but for the money cannot fault it. The only thing to be aware of is depending on the caps you are using some are a better fit than others on the supplied platen. But I normally just use a rubber insert and that normally does the trick although Stahl do supply different size platens. if your not going to be using it everyday It would probably do the Job but at the end of the day it all comes down to cost the way I normally look at things like this is O.K the money you make of the job you don't really make any profit but it pays for the machine

outsource!
How often you get asked for hats?
If not often than let say £3 per hat (printing only) + investment of £260 for a press.
If you outsource you will only cash in the profit.
