Hi I'm a new newbie to all this ,
im thinking of buying a pixmax 5 in 1 heat press and just wondered if anyone has one? And are they any good ?
im just going to be doing it as a hobby if I make any money it's a bonus .

If you want a good tip then don't get a 5 in 1 you will very soon regret it.

Oh really :/ , I'm on a budget and wanted to try a bit of everying so thought it would be a good idea to get one.

They are fine if you want the sort of finished product quality that a 3 year old would bring home from play school but if you want something that will consistently produce items of saleable quality then go for dedicated presses that will do the job well and last. Also stay away from clam style presses if you are ever going to use it to press anything thicker than a tee shirt.

this maybe the case with cheap chinese clam press but i had a couple of descent ones in the passed and all of them can press lovely as thick items as slates.

To give you an idea of how good that package is:-

It's a Ricoh printer (look on this forum re bad comments about that model) then they go on to say "Please note: ink for the Epson printer is not included in this combo." Ricoh printer and Epson ink looks like they really know what they are on about. The ink is going to cost you quite a bit unless you are going to cut corners and go for lookie lookie ink.

If you want to go with that budget then you need to decide if you are going sublimation or heat transfer but don't go for that package.

You would be better off going with something like this Virtuoso SG400/Ricoh SG3110DN with ink and ICC AND SUPPORT at £324/250 and then get a press with the change from http://www.thetransferpress.co.uk/a3-an ... 02x2645717 There are probably better deal about for this combination but I have work to do
