Galaxy gs-201 mug press
Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
The Galaxy Pro version we purchased from Subliblanks has a maximum 160C idle temperature. It does not constantly Beeb .
This Pro version looks very different IMHO to the one Longforte advertise. If my memory serves me correct Subliblanks worked with the manufacturer to make improvements to this model.

Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
They all say that they make improvements with the manufacturer! So can the basic version just start at the maximum temperature?
Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
Hi Gary, cannot answer that sorry, I have never seen the basic model.
I like having the idle time setting. If memory serves me correct I think the upgrade Subliblanks got was the ability to set an idle temp. I don't think it could on the earlier Pro model.

I've also purchased this mug press GS-201 and I'm getting good a good colour print and coverage but I'm experiencing a cold spot in one particular area.

Could be a dent in the mugs?Jessie;112559 wrote:I've also purchased this mug press GS-201 and I'm getting good a good colour print and coverage but I'm experiencing a cold spot in one particular area.
Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
Hi Gary, I tried putting the mugs in the other way round and the faded spot appears in the same position on the other side of the mugs. I also tried with mugs from a different supplier and the same thing happened. I've tried more pressure/less pressure and changing the temps and times but the faded spot is still there.
Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
Hi Kath, I also ordered a Galaxy Pro GS-202 from SubliBlanks this week. I found Chris to be very nice and helpful, so far. Should be getting it very soon. What is the reason for the "Idle Temperature"? Is that the time you place the mug in? Would you be so kind as to share your tests with us?KathG;112519 wrote:Hi Gary, cannot answer that sorry, I have never seen the basic model.

Hi Gil
just seen your message. Yes I will post some photos and give you the time and temps that we used. Yes you would put the mug in once it reaches the idle temp. With this model once you shut the blanket it start to heat to the cook temp and then once it reaches cooking temperature it starts the countdown.

Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
Hi
I was hoping someone could help me out?
I have just purchased the galaxy gs 201 from Signzworld. I have tried 5 mugs so far at various temps and pressure, but all of them have very faded images.
I have a Ricoh 3110 with Powerdriver installed. I have Sublijet R Inks, true pix paper and am using signzworld double orca coated 11oz mugs. I have tried 200 at 160 seconds, 180 at 240 seconds, 190 at 210 seconds. None seem to make any difference to the image. The pressure i have tried so it is near enough impossible for me to close and a few at a lighter pressure but still needs a bit of force to close.
I know i will waste quite a few mugs to start, but im not sure why they are all coming out very faded even with different options. I am putting a mug in when i heat it up and a piece of plain paper round the mug i am pressing to prevent any inks transferring to the blanket.
Any ideas what im doing wrong?
Many thanks
Nikki

Re: Galaxy gs-201 mug press
Two other things, do i need to do anything with the temp calibration? I don't understand what that is. Also when the pressing has finished, the handles of my mugs aren't hot at all but I've been watching YouTube videos and they all seem to be wearing heatproof gloves. Wondering if mines not heating up properly?
