Re: Mug Packaging 10oz/11oz

Post by kevt19 »

Hi everyone.

This is one of my first posts as I am fairly new to the Sublimation game.

My post is regarding packaging. Can anybody recommend a company were they stock cheap 10oz cardboard mug boxes? Looked through a few sites on Google & Ebay.
I've seen some the boxes also include the bubble wrap inside aswell which are a little more expensive.

One of the best deals I seen was for 500 mug boxes for £111 inc VAT + Free Delivery

I thought this was a good deal when I seen prices on more sites or am looking in the wrong places?

Thanks Kev

All depends on quality of box for that price. Some blank mug suppliers have their mugs Sent to you in individual boxes which can be cost effective depending on your requirements.

Yes Andrew, I have had mugs delivered were the supplier has despatched boxes aswell as the blank sublimation mugs. My current supplier does'nt send boxes with the batch of mugs so just looking at different options.
I can't rule out using polystyrene packaging either. Even if prices tend to be a bit more costly. What packaging do other members use?

Most would use poly boxes or smash proof cardboard style. Cardboard option is not as consistent as poly but far cheaper. If you are looking at 500 you could probably push a bit further and get a pallet. It drops a fair bit in cost per piece then to low teens.

Why did you swap mugs away from being ready boxed from supplier if it is key to what you do?

The reason for the change was the quality of the mugs. Even though boxes were supplied with the mugs, the overall quality when sublimated was'nt the best.
