Do You Keep A Mug In The Press When Heating Up?

Exactly what it says above with regards to saving the element. Is it necessary?

Sorry if its been covered but I can't see anything I have not read all posts but I have had many cups of tea as recommended.

It is best too, especially with cheapo elements or a hot spot will develop and bye bye heating element.
