Ricoh error code SC 28212

I'm having problems with my Ricoh printer and it's come up with the error code SC 28212 (call or service). Does anyone know what this means and if there is a solution I can use to fix it?

Thank you Quinsfan - I found the video on youtube and managed to clear the error and just finished realigning the print heads and all seems to be well Was just coming back to update my post

If you get this error and your printer is within warranty then call your supplier. The reset uses a considerable amount of sublimation ink which won't cost you anything if you go through your supplier. It can use around a 1/4 of each cartridge to reprime and flush out the tubes. That's a considerable sum of money!

Hi, thanks for your reply - it did use up a lot of ink. I bought the printer from yourselves but it was over 3 years ago so I'm guessing the warranty time has passed? I called your office today and the lady I spoke to asked me to send an email in with the error code and said she would forward it on (to the technician I think?) and try to get back to me today but I managed to get it to work. Does the error code mean the printer will need replacing soon?

I heard back from Hilary - she managed to get in touch with Sawgrass who also advised to do a reset and replacing the cartridges - luckily it's okay now (and it's worked well over the last 3 years) but I think it might be time for a new printer soon
