Spring on the back goes, cheap to replace but take a look. Keep one in stock if you buy press.
Ideally check display working OK, if you can see it warming up great. Should get to 200c in about 2 mins, heat should reach all 4 corners, worth investing a tenner in an infra red just to check consistency across the platen.

Thanks Justin, got it for £300! I've got an IR thermometer so I'll have a check of temperature - any idea what the tolerance is?
Re: Heat press & mug press bundles - advice needed
There's an Adkins bm20 in Twickenham if closer on eBay for 280 buy it now thats manufacturer refurbished. Earlier grey top which I think Justin has a soft spot for. Consistency across the plate within couple of degrees probably, don't think mine varied much at all but haven't checked it a while which reminds me to! Adkins have good spares backup, I had to replace a part on a cap press that regulated temperature, fiddle but Adkins customer and engineers support knowledgeable was very helpful.

Grey top is the layer model, I prefer the earlier matching model

Yep sorry i wasn't very clear there as they are cream not grey I suppose, its the earlier model with the lighter matching top and bottom

Coralgraph have just some on-board with a 10% discount. they have a really good range of mug presses from entry level, pneumatic up to Adkins/etc. The Adkins is already a great price but with our discount is even better.

That's fantastic!!!! Although already placed an order with them today damn it. Typical. Really pleased as they are always a pleasure to deal with and some items you cannot get from other suppliers.

Worked for me picking up my press....weekend in York from Wiltshire. As for a mug press......BMS are excellent and not too pricey. For the quantities you're looking at I reckon their mug press will be ideal....and there's excellent backup to go with it.....advice/phone assistance etc.Kubicixfactor;111076 wrote:I've suggested to my partner that we could spend a romantic couple of days in Cornwall.
