It's the same software whatever OS you run it on, so doesn't matter really what it's running on.
Thats good to know.

When you create a logo/design to print on a mug what file extension does it need to be?

If you're just starting out then get PhotoShop CS2 - it is available free of charge from several download sites now with a license code. This would be perfect for whilst you get to know the software and play with designs.

I'm OK with graphics software, I use pixelmator on Mac and have experience with logos etc. It was more the printing side I was asking about as I need to check that my current software supports the file types.

CS2 is the PPC version rather than Intel

PPC is the chip architecture Apple used before going to Intel

A 300dpi JPG is perfect, but with the Ricoh printers and PowerDriver you can print from anything so it doesn't matter - jpg, doc, ppt, pdf, etc. You just need a decent resolution to get a great image.

Sorry noit doesn't. You'll need to use an ICC profile with software that supports it.
