Re: Powerdriver & 2 printers

I've just treated myself to a second Ricoh printer, SG7100, so now I have both the 3110 & 7100.

Can I use the currently installed powerdriver v4 software with both of them, or do I need to install it again for the 7100 printer?

If I remember correctly (we did this not so long ago) then you install again for the 7100. It will just create one PD4 entry in "devices and printers" in Windows but you of course get to select which printer to use when printing.

We talked with SG this week as we couldn't get colour matches perfect between the 3110 and 7100 which are both using PD4 and spot colours. They said you never will due to them using different ink (sublijet-r and sublijet-HD). Therefore just hoping some ICC profiles from Paul will sort this out for us.

That's weird on the colours then as they share the same cartridges except for the high capacity carts which only fit the 7100?

The SubliJetR is for the SG3110/7100 and earlier printers and the SubliJetHD is for the new SG400/SG800 so not sure what Sawgrass are talking about there!

It's me!! I meant SG400 and SG7110DN in the post. SG said ink for both are different consistency so will never match via PD4. Sadly. We do mugs on 400 and coasters on 7110 and retailers complaining about slight colour mismatch. Getting Paul to do custom ICC for both hoping that will resolve things.
