Re: Epson WF-7110 issues after refill

Post by Spitzy »

Hi All.
I bought the above printer second hand with sublimation ink already on board, it printed great right from the off even though it had been sat in storage for ages, yesterday I got notification that the magenta was running low so i refilled it using the same ink that is in the cartridges, sublinova, and thought i would top up all the others while i was at it. Since doing this the black is fine, the yellow prints fine though the printer in convinced the cartridge is empty, the magenta and cyan completely refuse to print anything. I have done numerous nozzle checks, nozzle cleans, taken the cartridges out and put back in again, prayers and threats and nothing is working.
HELP please!

P.S I have another set of refillable cartridges on the way but this could prove to be expensive if i have to do that every time i refill!!

Thanks

I'm having trouble with my wf 7110 at the moment. Did you take the cartridge out to fill it and then replace?

Yes I did as everything I had read said not to fill in the machine.

Taking the carts out, refilling them then put them back in the printer doesn't reset the cart to full, you will get a replace ink cartridge message on the printer or your pc-you can get this warning even if the cart is full,it's just the way the chip works on it. So you have to keep an eye on the ink level, you may have been printing when the carts have been empty even though the printer/pc shows there is ink in them,so you may have damaged the printheads, if not try cleaning printheads 4 times then a full colour printout.
