Re: Epson 9880 Banding/Horizontal Lines
Set up my 9880 today but I'm getting think lines across everything. Anyone offer any help for a solution? Tried all usual solutions.
Nozzle check isn't perfect but I don't think this is causing it.

Looks like I just needed to change paper/quality setting. I had it on enhanced matte paper and needed it on premium lustre photo.

For sublimation you dont need premium lustre that will put too much ink down

So what's a good mid range setting? Matte is banding, phot lustre looks fine.

Photo lustre will be for photo black ink id imagine your sublimation is a matte black ink settings !! Photo always gives the largest gamut but the paper wont take that much ink normally it would be enhanced matte. If its banding theres a problem with the setting or the calibration inside the machine , is it dark or light banding

Light banding means pass are too far apart is there a custom setting in paper or a paper length adjustment instlaled , to test it you can run a 1metre ruler and measure then put in the length ino the printer as a custom paper.
