There was a supplier I hadn't seen before flogging - Hexis UK. They were doing everything from vehicle wrapping to ready cut vinyl widths for the Cameo, badge making to mug printing. The MD claimed the mugs were made in Stoke - I asked 'you mean coated' and he reckoned they were actually made and coated in Stoke. Then again when asked if they were dishwasher safe he didn't know, nor did he know what the coating was - he didn't seem overly aware that there was anything other than general dye sub coating.
I couldn't make it today as one of my lads decided to set all the airbags off in his car "only clipped a curb" so had to sort that out!
Gutted I wasnt there....
I manage a slip house in Stoke and speak to alot of people in the industry but never come across anyone local making sub mugs.. would be interested to find out who it is, that's if there is anyone around here making them!

I was there on Sunday for a few hours, It was my first exhibition in this industry and was a bit surprised it was so small, am I right in thinking it has been running for 27 years, it was not as busy as I had expected, and I found a lot of stalls were too busy chatting to each other, though a couple of the stall that I did speak to were very good and I did come away with a few vinyl and transfer samples, as I am still in the market for new equipment and was hoping to make some purchases on the day, I left without buying anything, I am still glad I went and it was worth the visit, maybe my expectations were too high, I have worked at many exhibitions over the years starting in 1978 at the ideal home exhibition at earls court, really feel that these companies need to engage a little more with potential new customers, but overall some good exhibitors and worth the trip. can anyone let me know what the next event is and when please and what is the big "must attend event", I don't want this to be seen as a negative comment as we had a good day.

Hope you feel better soon James

I really liked P&P this year and as usual, the market leaders were there with new products...

I really liked the new neon printer at TMT's stand and also the new paper that it had been printed on. If I understood Carl correctly, this paper can be used instead of TTC with the added bonus that there is no hand print. If I am right and the paper is not too expensive (I have no idea), then just like most things they do, they are first and arguably the best (I wonder if that will get me a free box of paper LOL!!!). I also liked the new range of laser printer pre cut papers like the luggage tags. I see huge potential in those and am looking forward to getting stuck into marketing them.

Listawood also had some nice new mugs on show, the stackable ones grabbed my attention the most and I will certainly be marketing them to my clients as there is potential. The fact that they are selling packaging for them at the same time is a bonus for those who sell in shops or online. They also had the colour handle/inners there, personally I think they need a bit more work to really fly and I will be speaking to Listawood in the hope that they may consider my suggestions.

That aside there was an arrogant arse on the YOKO high vis stand that lost out on 20 grand plus of orders. If you speak to my like I am a pleb then I am certainly not going to consider you for the supply of garments to the largest builders merchants in the UK that I am contracted to deliver.... Proper bell end :-)

Sorry I never stuck around for the nibbles. I wanted to get home and resume my Sunday lying on the sofa ritual!

I was there on Sunday & Monday. Turned up at Listawood aT 3pm on Sunday but guy on stand said it had been changed to 4pm. Went back at 4 but no one there? I enjoyed the show but agree with some of the comments on here from Ukuwi with regard to the some of the companies needing to engage more with potential new customers. I came across a few companies that I will definitely never use due to their attitude, the Magic Touch being one. On the other hand, there were some very helpful & pleasant people, such as Heather at Target Transfers, Connor at DTS, SkinniFit, Prestige Leisure, Dave Roper, AWDIS & BlankBadge.
