Is Di-Bond a cheaper alternative for sublimation printing of photographs when compared to Chromaluxe? Is it available in the UK for this purpose? I see a few places for dibond signage, etc etc, but does anyone use it specifically for photo prints? If this is the case, could someone tell me who the supplier would be?
Thanks
Doug

Re: Di-Bond and sublimation
Dibond has a plastic core that melts at 165c. Coated Dibond is available for direct printing (UV?) but not sublimation to the best of my knowledge. I would assume that suitable printers are expensive and on a par with direct to garment printers.

Thanks for the info - good to know. I know you can do UV direct printing or something on them. The quality is not as good as Chromeluxe - that I saw, anyway. Maybe they are just a cheaper option?
