New mug press - pneumatic & self contained....
Re: New mug press - pneumatic & self contained....
Hi
I went to see a demo of the Pneumatic Mug Press ST 110 auto, looks very impressive!!
But the print at the bottom of the mug was a bit burry and on one of the corners.
Not sure if it was first attempt as a demo or the temperature on the whole blanket was not consistent.
I was tempting to buy one!
Has anyone else seen this press?
Thanks

I emailed the supplier and asked if they'd be interested in the forum testing and reviewing this press and also the double mug press but as yet they have failed to respond.

Re: New mug press - pneumatic & self contained....
I had one of these pneumatic mug presses, tried to print on 5 mugs-different colours etc & they all came out faint, 190 deg max doesn't help either, i also have found that mug presses where the mug goes in upright aren't very good-the presses where the mug lies down on it's side to press always seem much better for some reason.I sent the pneumatic press back & would not recommend-great idea though.

i noticed some people say its only up to 190C? why would you like more then this if inks sublimation at 175c or lower with ricoh?

Everyone's different aren't they? depends what paper, mugs you use,or inks even. I get best results on my mugs at 210 deg,I'm just stating my opinion on this press-have you tried it?
Re: New mug press - pneumatic & self contained....
n, i didnt, but your opinion is not first time i heard about this press and wondered why people need more temp if all yo need to do is just extend the time. But As i said, many people say not greatest things about this press so i am not even tempted to try itSmart Mart;107217 wrote:Everyone's different aren't they? depends what paper, mugs you use,or inks even. You can't extend the time that much either to even try & cook it longer,i can't remember what the max time is but i had that at the max too, like i say great idea just doesn't work (for me)! at the moment, where as my other press does.
Re: New mug press - pneumatic & self contained....
