Hi,

Did a tester tee with black flex cut sticky from Yolo , seems to be peeling slightly in areas, 165c for 17 secs on a fruit of the loom tee, not long enough or do you guys extend the print time or adhere to the flex cut sticky guidelines?

Well, I have done a re-press for just 10 seconds on the press at the stated temp of 165c with silicon sheet over the print and it has sealed! Maybe in future I will extend the press time by a further 5-10 seconds just to make sure.

I use MDP hot flex and always pre press for 10 secs. Press the vinyl for 15 secs with a Teflon sheet remove the backing sheet and finally do a post press with the Teflon sheet for another 10 secs

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.

I think I will up my pressing time to 20 seconds and do a re-press when cold for a further 5-10 seconds, hopefully that should do the trick in future!

Do you re-press for the same time or just do it say for a further 10 seconds?

just a few seconds, it just makes sure that any vinyl edges that have "caught" when you released the vinyl will be back down
