Yes. There wasn't any plugs in but I think you mean the holes in front of the plugs to refill. I've looked online again and people are saying about turning high speed printing off.
Re: Epson no ink
well high speed printing wasn't on so I'm totally stumped. Printed off a test page and all seems well but the magenta was patchy. Then it said it was empty but there was still plenty in there. Should I try different cartridges from a different supplier?Mugshots;105851 wrote:Yes. There wasn't any plugs in but I think you mean the holes in front of the plugs to refill. Hello there,
I think Reg is right in suggesting you remove the vent plugs from the ink carts. Most refillable carts have them.
Your image certainly appears to show some kind of banding which could possibly be head alignment and it might be worth a quick alignment test to check that out anyway. It's not the same sort of banding you experienced previously though, is it? Did you remove any plugs from the ink carts?
Are you using the Epson print driver for this? If you are, you might find changing print quality will make all the difference. Changing from 'normal' to 'fine' can, for instance, remove all traces of banding on an area of spot colour. I have found that the smaller Epson printers seem to suffer this problem whenever there is a call for a large area of the same colour. I would suggest you try printing a test area - about 75mm x 75mm, of each colour which would then give you an opportunity to see any lines and also to see if this is restricted to a specific colour/set of jets.

Hi. Thanks very much Im now sorted!!!!
I wasnt going into the printer settings after pressing print. I was going into them via the little printer icon in the bottom bar. Ive now gone into it properly and turned the speed right down to quality and its working great. A big deep from the heart thank you!!!!!
