Why would jet opaque 11 turn the same color of the garment on an iron only press. I am pressing spandex/lycra, had a white background and it has turned a lighter shade of the material which was blue??

coz is probably sublimated fabric. in this case you will need subliBlock material. so transfer paper is not suitable.
