Re: Thinking of buying a sub printer

Post by paul 44 »

I have been thinking of buying a Ricoh 3110dn printer to add to the Epson I already have (used for tshirts etc) and I'm looking at the price of the printer compared to the inks (£200.00 ?!)

If I bought this machine and used compatible inks for mug pressing, would this be advisable or is there another alternative to a good printer with good sub ink system and affordable as I can't afford to spend another £200.00 on an ink system...although it will last ages, it is the initial outlay expense I'm looking at for the ink.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Paul, sorry I missed your earlier comment. Did you purchase via DSS?

Hi Jetstream

Well I checked 2 websites, DSS and Isub Supplies who I spoke to first, DSS had the printer cheap as you pointed out for £68.95 inc vat , Kerrie at Isub supplies was brilliant and matched the price from DSS so got the entire kit from them but the price ended up the same (to the penny) on both sites really. I also got the heat tape and AAA graded mugs from Isub.

Can't fault them for the advice and service.
