Texture on mugs

I just printed my first mug with the new paper and inks - its come out 99% perfect! There is a small glitch which I'm sure no one else will really notice but it looks as though the texture of the press has faintly transferred to the mug. You can only see it when you shine the light in a certain way and it really is hardly noticeable but I don't want that to be happening to all of them. I assume it would be a pressure problem?? The colours and everything else are literally perfect so I didn't want to mess around with it too much now the settings are finally (kinda) right. Any ideas? Its so faint I don't think I can even take a photo of it but I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to selling stuff.

Just an FYI, I'm using the RN coated mugs from BMS, Trupix paper from BMS and Inktec inks

Could be pressure or too high a temperature.

What time/temps are you using? My guess would be too much pressure as well...when I first started I thought the pressure needed to be really quite high when doing mugs, but soon realised it doesn't need to be. Using our Adkins press, it's only just tight enough so that the element starts to form slightly around the shape of the mug, if you know what I mean. Can easily close the press with one hand.

I'll try reducing the pressure a bit first and see what happens. After the mug has been washed, you can't see the pattern so it might be alright. I have it on about 310 for 120 seconds.

The pressure should just wrap around the edges of the mug, so quite firm. Too tight and your blanket will wrinkle. Put a piece of plain cheap paper copy between transfer and heat blanket.
