Re: cotton to polyester % requirement

Does anyone know what is the necessary cotton / polyester % requirement for the best quality sublimation printing? I am printing isolated photos on to cushion covers and am using pure polyester material. The photos come out very clearly but the material isn't great. Would like to use a blend of cotton and polyester if possible, but still get the same printing results. Thanks.

Ive heard lots of different reports but the consensus seems to be minumim 65% polyester, iot not something ive ever tried but would be interesting as Dye SUblimation bonds to a polymer so the parts that connect to cotton will wash off soon enough. I dont profess to understand exactly how the blends are made so cannot be certain a wash test would be interesting however.

I have been trying various different samples of blended polyester and cotton to print on. Some work and some are awful, all faded looking. Trouble is the labels just say polycotton and never give the percentage so I can't be sure. I'm still going along blindly and wasting many cushion covers.....
