Help wanted newbie
Re: Help wanted newbie
I'm going to be going into printing using vinyl for names. What vinyl should I be using and where to buy if from. I need vinyl that will wash reasonable well as its going to have a heavy usage as it for football shirts. Many thanks for your help.
Re: Help wanted newbie
If you're going into printing I presume you have a solvent printer? I stand ready to be corrected but I would think anything other than solvent print (inks) will wash out/fade quickly. If you are looking for a solvent print vinyl try Grafityp Siser vinyl.
Re: Help wanted newbie
My apologizes. force of habit, I meant using a cutter and putting on the football shirts. Sorry my bad
Re: Help wanted newbie
I use MDP Hot flex for most of what I have done. It works well for me as I find it to press very thin. There are many types out there. Your clients may prefer a thicker vinyl or even a flock type. I would suggest that you ask for samples from many of the suppliers. I am sure there will be someone else will be along soon to offer another brand.
All the best with this new venture.

Re: Help wanted newbie
No these are just for local teams that have their own brand. Normal I don't do football stuff for all that aggravation that suppose to go with it, but I'm getting work coming through from athletics club, kick boxing ect small but steady work its more a teen football thing so nothing to worry about.ArferMo;104230 wrote:Lots of legalities with footie shirts corprtrect font and size and all that....
Re: Help wanted newbie
if you will print some football shirts, you will need subliblock vinyl. I always get my from MDP.

Re: Help wanted newbie
I've been using The Magic Touch 123 Premium flex and find it to be very good. For me it has been one of the easiest to weed, especially with font as small as 5mm in size.
Dont nut know if this will be of any interest but The Rhinestone World have a good selection of True type fonts that they sell for sports, football, baseball etc..
