Little help please

Need a little bit of help please , been using paint.net and gimp to try out the printing game .Anyway I liking it so got coraldraw x7 and some other new bits.

Trouble iam having is , I cant open any of my saved templates or any photos off my phone in coraldraw

Plus I am better off printing in coralphoto or draw ?

you have to start a new document then use File Import
