My ovens hold 12 and are done in 14 minutes. I have enough wraps so 12 are ready to go in when 12 come out, one oven = 48 an hour.

We have 4 single presses, and I can get 36 mugs done in an hour, we are now looking at ovens/wraps to up this rate.

Thanks for all the replies, I did wonder about the maths regarding mug press and oven. I shall get a cheap halogen from www.coopersofstortford.co.uk (the store is local to me) and give them a go. I see timing varies here from 14 mins to 23 mins so that will be an interesting experiment when I start. I think another consideration is the overall running costs over time ie replacing press blankets at £60 + a time = 2 halogen ovens - electricity usage (1400 watts - 450watts for press). I suppose this is all only relevant for volume work and I'm some way off of that. I just wanted to see if ovens would be better for all over coverage prints and getting closer to the handle - just my enquiring nature)
My wraps came yesterday (green ones) £16.00 all in for 3, look easy to use, I'm looking forward to trying out.

They are perfect and have enough stretch in them to be easily applied.
You can get a lot closer about 5-8mm from the handle depending on the design and how adventurous you areI just wanted to see if ovens would be better for all over coverage prints and getting closer to the handle - just my enquiring nature

What sort of oven are you using to get 12 in, a benchtop convection oven?

Can't remember the model number, but we got a standard full size oven from Argos fir about £100
key things about it are firstly being fan assisted, so the temperature is consistent throughout the oven chamber, and there's two heating elements, one top and bottom. Also, power wise it only draws around 2000 watts, so runs on s normal 13 amp plug comfortably.
We have baking trays the mugs sit in, which take 12 mugs each, so 24 mugs at a time.
Using a temp controller and heat probe we had in our heat press spares, running as just a thermometer, as not had time to rewire the oven for it to control things, but it reads 220 degrees, and we leave in for 25 minutes

Are you getting consistent results from a setup like that? I have been battling with halogen ovens but find the temperature differences create problems with inconsistency. The outside of the oven tends to be +15 degrees hotter than the centre and the top hotter than the bottom. It's a pain. It sounds like you have got a pretty decent constant temperature with that oven, yes?

Yes, happy with the results, especially considering how cheap the actual oven was.
figured instead of 'cheapy' halogen type oven, it wasn't really much more money to get a full sized fan assisted domestic kitchen oven.
Without the fan on, the cooking time increases by 10 minutes, but there's too many mugs not printed well enough.
The main problem is the green silicone wraps aren't always tight enough on our mugs - they aren't all exactly the same size, so am now thinking we're gonna have to invest more money into better quality wraps, preferably adjustable, rather than 'one size fits all' which don't.

This is what we got, but ours was branded as Bush (same model number) and didn't have the clock.
