Hey George - Your English is fine :) - I have tried this but it has made no difference at all.

I've spoken with the supplier (who advised me film would be fine in the ST3042) and now tell me that film is not suitable for this machine and say I need to buy the mini-machine to use up the 1700+ sheets of film I bought.

They state that the film must be held around the edges to prevent it contracting during sublimation.

I'm pretty annoyed as I spent a lot of money not just on film but the machine and all the spares I could get my hands on. Not to mention the wasted time and cases trying to get this right.

They have recognised that they gave me poor advice when purchasing and have offered me discount prices on my next purchase but I'm pushing for account credit as I don't really want to spend yet more money fixing this.

I'm getting good results with paper right now but I'm still hoping to return to film.

I've been looking at potential ways I could hold the film in the ST3042 but nothing concrete just yet.

Always open to ideas ;)

I solved this problem. I was getting bubbles leaving ink as well. After a long trial and error process I figured it out.

1- Print out image at highest dpi and best photo setting
2- Cut excess amount around image. Do not use film as membrane.
3- Use membrane you'd use for paper cases
4 - pre heat puck 5-10 minutes at 180 C, set timer at 1000 seconds
5- center blank case on image, use heat tape to anchor the case flat on the film. do not fold.
6- put puck in case. turn over carefully, place in machine. gently close lid. start vacuum and timer.
7- remove at end of countdown, gently remove film, squeeze sides of cases a bit then put in bucket of cold water to cool.
