Use the Vista driver , can download from Epson.
we print on Enhanched Matte paper setting, and maximum quality for hard substrates) lower for textiles.

Many thanks Tim. Installed this driver and working fine. I've created a profile using my Color-Munki whilst I await a response from (busy) Paul :-) This appears to be working well and prints are comparable to my Ricoh 7100, colours a little softer.

I'm not 100% sure on driver settings and have opted as shown below. Finest detail made a difference to the edges becoming more crisp so I've left that on, not sure if edge smoothing will help further? Should microweave/Superx be on?

I've only just seen the paper config screen so have left this alone unless you can offer any more suitable alternative settings?

I've read that superx tells the printer to make 8 passes instead of the usual 4 to eleviate banding, this would explain the huge speed difference :- .

for hard substrates, we have the same as you on the print settings, except superx on, and high speed off - the print speed is slow but great quality, so we print in bulk and store transfers - this works for us as our designs are set and not one offs/personalised. With 100m rolls of paper, and great reliability, the printer just keeps rolling 24/7 when needed.

Great, many thanks. Prints are looking really good even with this profile I made myself.

Justin if you want to check your profile, print a slate texture image where the slate colour is essentially grey but with a hint of blue. If your printed image is good with no hint of green hue...your profile is a beauty! Just my experience that this tends to show the weakness if there is one, and of course with the munki you can then use that image to refine your profile.
I have no idea why this is the case, just appears to be the case for me.
