Did my first run of orders for printed 8" plates. Practised on one , and got a cloudy edge, tried different settings to no avail, Upped heat & pressure slightly and even cracked a plate.
Ruined 5 plates. Contacted supplier who after a while got back to me and said that it was probably due to an un level (convex) plate centre, so refunding me cost of blanks.
Has anyone got any experience of this? and can anyone recommend a good quality plate supplier.
Thanks in advance,
Chris. 1st attachment (dog) was my practice plate, 2nd attachment (speedway rider) was customer order.

is this pressed with "soft" round plate attachment? if so, they are useless and wont hold temperature on edges at all.

Yes it is, well at least I think it is what you are describing. An 8" round attachment, Teflon coated foam pad?

Is there an alternative to this? I have seen some American tutorials using a metal 'puck' , is that the correct way ? other than vacuuming of course.
