You're oven printing successfully in volume without wraps?

we aint done any in volume yet my friend....
trying to get the singles sorted out first, temp / times, wrap or no wrap ect..
and tbh, i realy dont see any problem with doing various mugs in this machine, as long as they all tightly wrapped and not touching each other, i dont see a problem,....
but, other smight chip in here and let you know otherwise, i cant at the moment till i get more testing done and my thermometer arrives till i check temps.

this 17L bowl will hold around 7/8 10oz mugs situated around the edge of the bowl inside.

what we are going to try tomorrow, or today now, is take the print away from handle a bit, so it quicker to prep them for print, but still lot closer than we could ever get with out mug press's, and trial some more with times temps ect...we got full box of mugs here to waste on this to get it right....

if ok, then we will try the bulk cooking
will keep you posted bud....like wise if you have any experiences yourself

We need to do more experimenting ... using a full size fan oven (with top and bottom heating elements)
With the fan on, we can do 24 mugs in about 20-25 minutes, but found that we started having problems with the exposed parts of the mugs (handle area) printing with the gassing inks flying around the oven. With the fan off, this problem is solved, but the mugs take 10 minutes longer.
Finding that the wraps don't always give enough pressure, so we get some blurry areas on the mugs.
On the whole much happier than using a bank of presses, but there's problem solving to sort through as with any new system.
Tried using a spare heat press temp controller and probe we had lying around, wired up just as a digital thermometer, but it doesn't seem accurate, so I don't know if it's not good, or just needs calibrating, and then it's finding something to calibrate it against that we know is correct.

yep, went through all this with the 2 mini 3d machines as well..
as with anything in this business, trial n error is foremost, regardless of what any manufacture / suppliers say

I sometimes use a small desktop oven (£40 argos a few years ago) that takes 6 mugs, it's not fan assisted, and I wipe it around inside after every fill. The ink that I collect from it is quite surprising. So the amount of gassing that takes place is/can be an issue.
I use the green wraps but on 11oz mugs hence they are tight enough.
Figures are 210 degrees on the thermometer for 14 minutes. Longer...yes longer caused fading of the image.

We're trying to work through a methology/methodology (sp?!) for being able to seal the transfer paper with heat tape, so that ink gas cannot escape.

Hi. I am sorry to give a negative post but all feedback helps I hope. We basically started out trying four different ovens. Mini 3D vacuum, two halogen ovens and then a desktop fan oven. Only 3D vacuum gave consultant results. ALL other ovens were useless in providing standard results per bake and temperature fluctuations were major problem. Halogen turned out to be the worst. Ended up ditching ovens and buying multiple mug presses. All good now. Olly
