Re: Paper Samples

Post by JetStreamDigital »

Hi All,

I'd just like some general feedback from the day-to-day producers/users amongst yourselves.

I'm sure you've seen we are beginning to gather pace with our new paper to the market, and this is the first of a few products that are in the pipeline.
We have now fully signed up our Irish distributor, and already have UK distributors available.
We are moving into the EU market now for those overseas.

Can you provide me with some information on whether anyone would be interested in receiving sample sheets of the paper?
Would that potentially provide you all with a further reason to switch from your current paper choice?
How many sheets would you realistically need to test thoroughly?
Do people prefer to purchase a pack to test rather than receive some sample sheets?

We feel we are pricing the paper quite aggressively within the market considering how well it performs, but please let us know...all feedback welcome.

BR,
Jimmy

Paul, be good for you to do some comparative testing, including with and without custom ICC profiling of the paper alongside TruPix or TexPrint or something?

As I have said in one of my threads I tried it on coaster and it was good, it felt thin but worked on coasters, Will try it on a mug next week and let you know, I normally use true prix

Paul,
Please DM me your details and I'll arrange. If you give me an indication of how much you need etc.

The aim is for honest and accurate feedback, if I wanted to only receive positive feedback for our products then I'd be better using another mechanism than a public forum.

Looking forward to your message.

BR,
Jimmy

This would be excellent if possible.

A lot of our existing users are mug providers, with a couple being fairly large and exclusive to mugs only.

Would you be willing to fund Paul's time and materials cost in doing this?
(we'd be up for doing it, but Paul's profiling kit is better than ours!)

Thanks Paul, I didn't realise you had your agent on the forums also [emoji6]
I'll get the paper across to you and we'll talk further.
