All over printed t.shirt
Re: All over printed t.shirt
I have just seen some great wild life sublimation t.shirts, it was a american site, it was impressive, front and back and the sleeves was covered. I thought only factory's could this but the way I read the website, it gave the impression you put in your design and they did it. Way beyond my capabilities. Anybody on here that does this if you do I take my hat off to you. NO way in hell would I attempt it, I'd probable knackered more than I made and I comfortable with what I do, I can socailgiraffe with the talent and know how.
Re: All over printed t.shirt
two ways to achieve this ... print onto ready made t-shirt, but impossible to get 100% coverage with no faults, or print onto raw fabric, and then cut&sew into the finished garment. With either method, you need a big flat bed or rotary heat press.
We print to raw fabric through a rotary press, and then cut&sew into cushions, skirts and dresses (at the moment -more in the pipeline), but don't see the margins in doing t-shirts.

There must be companies that do this for other people, I did think this was to perfect to keep repeating the same design over and over. do you wholesale in cushions with same design, if so could you pm with amounts and cost. thanks

Re: All over printed t.shirt
Just echoing what Tim has said to some extent, I saw some all over front print shirts in Asda last Sunday. Superman and Avengers tees, so I'm sure they'll sell them, they're cheap enough. But by jingo, they were roughest T-shirts I've ever seen! They were literally finished shirts that had had the transfer whacked over the top and pressed. This meant there triangles at the armpit with no transfer due to the way they'd been pressed. But worse than that, the shirts had the print INSIDE the crew neck! If I'd had a hand in producing that tat I'd have hung my head in shame. Diabolical.
Re: All over printed t.shirt
Yea but I bet they fly off the shelves, people don't seem to mind. It's the same with transfers/vinyl people don't really care about what it feels like or too much about the quality these days, it's all down to the right price.

Re: All over printed t.shirt
I actually bought a vintage look Avengers shirt that was on the peg next to them. Cotton shirt, screen printed, cheaper!
Re: All over printed t.shirt
Yeah, Primark have sublimation t-shirts printed in the same way as you saw in Asda, seems that it is accepted by customers that that is the look, and they happily buy.
@FutureProject - we're only down the road if you want to pop in!
@JennyWren - Yes, our designs (my wife's) are all set, and our business is primarily wholesale to shops around the UK.

Re: All over printed t.shirt
Those t-shirts look awful in Asda. I couldn't believe they were selling some of them. I would have thought with a bit more care they could have worked better.
Is it common to press the inside on the t-shirt as well. I figured a wee bit of paper or something would stop that part from printing over the t-shirt labels.
