Re: Hello from sunny London

Hi everyone.

Really glad I found this forum as I am completely new to sublimation and will shortly be buying a Ricoh printer with Sublijet dye inks.

Previously I have been making tile coasters for fun and tried many methods from sealing with acrylic gel to coating with epoxy resin. All methods were time consuming but I could use any substrates.

I've seen the coated coasters for sale but I'm really looking to coat my own ceramic tiles. Not sure if this is a good idea as reports about Digicoat have been mixed. So I will read more on this forum to see what others have to say and hopefully I will find a method which is right for me.

Cheers!

Nope, I don't give a dam what anyone says, I am in Surrey, and I refuse to be lumbered with the label of being in London. It means that Merton, which yes is the London Borough of Merton, loses it's identity! Don't forget Croydon is the London Borough of Croydon, but still keeps its Surrey status, and the same with Bromley, which is the London Borough of Bromley, and they are in Kent!

When ever I am in touch with anyone and need a letter from them, or give my address, I tell them that if they want my custom, they must address all letters as I have told them, and NOT to use the London bit.

In fact a won a legal case where I signed a contract with a firm using the Surrey address, and they changed it to London, I pulled out of the contract and told them that I was not going to continue with them. Because they actually wrote on the original contract their change of address, and were daft enough ti send a copy to me with this addition. I had them for changing the contract without my consent, and won the case. They had to pay me all my costs etc.
