Re: Photoshop printing white background problem.

Post by Mossy88 »

Hi guys,

Sorry it has been a while since i have been on this forum hope all is good, i recently brought a new iMac so i had to restalled everything from my MacBook to the new machine.

I just about remembered how to set up everything again.

When i printed my image the white on the paper that isn't being used, the printer is trying to print it. You can just about see it on the page and it is making the print out longer then it should be. (Hard to explain)

Does anyone know what my problem is, it didnt happen the first time i set everything. I am hoping i just had something ticked on photoshop that i shouldn't.

Thank you.

Hi Mike,
have you sorted the problem? Could there be a layer turned on somewhere or if not perhaps select the image using the marquee tool, invert it so all the white space is selected and hit delete, it might delete any background that may be there?? Just an idea, worth a try...good luck!

I haven't sorted but i have found a work around, i just had to make sure the paper size was a4 when creating a new page on photoshop and then this doesn't happen. Didn't have to do this on my last mac, so im still a bit confused.
