Re: Source of t-shirt designs

Post by logobear »

While visiting USA i saw many custom t-shirt shops, and each had great catalogues of designs for the customer to go through, choose, and personalise.
They would have thousands of choices, divided into sections for X-mas, Hens/Stags, Holidays, St patriks day, Schools, sports, awards and prizes and so on.
They reminded me of the choices available at say tattooists and I wondered if there are any commercial collections available to buy?
We have come up with a few designs of our own over the years, but It would be great to offer the choice of thousands.
Some customers have a clear idea of what they want, or have their own artwork, but others want inspiration.
If you own a good collection and would be interested in selling a single user licence for my shop in Newcastle upon Tyne please let me know.
Alternatively, if there exists any good commercial collections of UK relevant designs I am interested to hear. My preference would be for .JPG.
many thanks
Phil

I think this would be useful for a lot of people - I know licenses exist for Disney and others, but is there a high quality collection of electronic jpgs? It would be very easy for such a collection to get into the public domain which is probably why the US company had their own versions in hard copy.

If you want a choice of thousands to offer then get the Catalogue pack from Transfer Press. I would guess this is what a lot of the what the American Shops use. The problem is if one person wants to order one transfer are you going to try stocking them all ?. Sometimes less is best :D

The only problem with the transfers from the transfwr press is you need to order in quantities of 12 :(

And Graeme only orders once/twice a month, dependant on which catalogue you order from.

But it does tell you on the news section of the website when they are next ordering :D

I keep thinking of ordering a few designs and then selling them on in 2's or 3's. If there are any particular ones anybody wants I'd be interested in looking at sharing. Could try 2 or 3 designs to start with but how do you choose between all those :o
