UK Postal supplier?
Re: UK Postal supplier?
Having worked on all my other costs, Postage is the one that bugs me!
I use Royal Mail OBA so postage is £2.50 per mug. Now I see personalized mugs including postage on ebay for £4.49. The Company has been around a while and has positive feedback so we can assume they do a good job.
Now even with my cost's nailed to the floor this shows a very poor return...so have they nailed the postage cost down? Have I missed a trick with postage cost?
Note I have no intention of going near that price,I want to improve my profit!!

OBA is £1.98 for RM48 or £2.53 for RM24, so if you dropped to RM48, you'd save 55p per mug. If you get your quantities of shipments up, then you can renegotiate the pricing with RM, which if the other company is doing a big turnover of mugs from being so cheap, could be what they've done - the mugs could be a sideline of a much bigger business which already has better rates negotiated.

As a consumer, I absolutely despise MyHermes. In my area, it's either a taxi driver out in his cab, or a chap driving around in a banged up old car with his kid in the passenger seat. Not very professional looking, but apart from that, we had a parcel attempt over the weekend while we were away, and on the second attempt (instead of taking it back to make the third and final attempt), the guy left the parcel under a small bush in the front garden, which is not fenced in and is basically right on the footpath. If anybody had've found/seen that parcel and taken it, who would've been responsible?! Absolute amateurs in my opinion, and would personally much rather pay a little more for a good service.JMugs;101772 wrote:MyHermes drop off to a parcel shop is £2.34. Anybody use MyHermes for bulk?

Pisq keep paying and keep quiet....you are on the rate for over 250 parcels per day and that you sort them. Unless of course you are sending out over 250 per day!pisquee;101773 wrote:OBA is £1.98 for RM48 or £2.53 for RM24, so if you dropped to RM48, you'd save 55p per mug. I only use MyHermes for delivery to commercial premises for these very reasons. As I understand it the drivers get paid between 39p and 45p per drop, self employed and pay all their own costs!spongerobinson;101775 wrote:As a consumer, I absolutely despise MyHermes. My RM48 is £2.50 including VAT, but I'll have new codes next week, so I'll let you know what those savings are. I wouldn't trust MyHermes either for the same reasons mentioned above. Big savings can be used by buying your mugs by the pallet.
