Re: Market Stall for Sublimation Phone Covers
Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you guys have a market stall specialising in selling sublimation phone covers at a weekend market.
I am intending to do iphone 5 and upwards and some selected tablets or other phones.
As far as I know, its not being done in any market location near me and would be a relatively unique entity.
I am looking to make some additional cash to subliment my regular income but it doesn't need to be a massive massive money maker but I would like to make some profit.
If so, is this type of stall viable and what advice would you have for me starting out?
I already own a full printer and printing press kit but I don't want to waste my weekends standing in a stall with no customers.

well business is like going to the casino, nothing ventured nothing gained.
Basically it`s a gamble.
You`ll have to do your homework first

Hey Nash,
Yeah I know. I do love a gamble myself but was just wondering if anyone has tried and failed this, or if anyone hit some major roadblocks trying to do it.

I'll be honest, I think you're limiting yourself. We have a customer doing what you're looking at, but I know for a fact he sells at least as many mugs and coasters as he does phone cases. And probably more...

Thanks for the reply Scotty.
My current press can't do mugs and I am trying to keep stock to a minimum where I can.
I want to start small then branch out if its a success.
By any chance, would you know how many sales of phone covers they make on an average day?

Have been looking at do this locally.
How would anyone recommend powering printer and press as our local markets don't supply electricity?
Thanks
Karen

we use a Honda EU20i for when we don't have access to power, it's quiet and has the power to power our flatbed press.. if you are looking to get a generator make sure you don't buy a cheap one that will just do what you need, and ideally you want a smooth power one because the cheaper ones can fluctuate wildly and distroy sensitive computer systems.

How long does this last and do you also run your computer and printer off of it at the same time?FutureProject;101758 wrote:we use a Honda EU20i for when we don't have access to power, it's quiet and has the power to power our flatbed press.. if you are looking to get a generator make sure you don't buy a cheap one that will just do what you need, and ideally you want a smooth power one because the cheaper ones can fluctuate wildly and distroy sensitive computer systems.
