But would clearing the heads fix the issue that it doesn't recognise the cartridge?

No it doesn't have a battery, but it doesn't actually print any colour other than yellow, it thinks the yellow ink is fine and the rest of the colours it thinks are empty, I have tried resetting it many times, but it either says cartridges aren't recognised or low ink ...
