Re: Trophy plate metal printing issue...

<t>We've been printing mirror gold metal for trophies and plaques for 15 years and never had this before!<br/>
<br/>
On removal of the plastic protection the metal sheet looks clear, we cut down into appropriate sizes, lay up and tape onto the same paper we've always used and press at 175c for 45 ...

Re: Laser cutting aluminium sublimation metal?

<t>Many thanks but all sorted thanks Bob....<br/>
<br/>
We had the templates cut out of stainless steel and whilst the tolerances we require weren't met due to a break down in communication we learnt enough to believe there's a better way of achieving our aims so are now looking at using 3mm thick ...

Re: Laser cutting aluminium sublimation metal?

<t>Ok, many thanks....<br/>
<br/>
I'm trying to create a jig to take 50mm x 20mm, 50 x 25mm etc., trophy plates to avoid having to stick each one down individually. A nearby company with a laser cutter can help with this and I was hoping we could go a step further and have them cut some plates out ...

Re: Laser cutting aluminium sublimation metal?

<t>We currently use a guillotine to cut small metal plates for trophies from A3 sheets of coated sublimation metal, 0.5mm thick.<br/>
<br/>
Has anyone used a Laser cutter on sublimetal and if so is the Polyester coating effected in any way?<br/>

Re: Ebay and copywright ??

<t>Unless things have changed dramatically since I last looked into this when I started out over 15 years ago the law in this country may allow the complainant to have your stock seized by trading standards or some other body and may be able to stop you trading. The problem arises that the stock ...

Re: Baize backing

You would need a trade account but can buy baize circles from trophy suppliers like Glenway..

The only problem may be the sizing: 50,60,69,76,93,108mm diameter

<r><QUOTE author="Violetsub;123969"><s>[QUOTE=Violetsub;123969]</s>Thanks, that's what I was thinking too. I quite fancy the adkins but they are pricey. Re: Memorial Plaque for outside use?

<t>A customer has requested a reproduction of a memorial plaque that we supplied a while back but this time for use outside.<br/>

The intention will be to supply subli printed metal attached to a bespoke wooden plaque made from hardwood by the cabinet maker in a neighbouring unit.<br/>
