Re: Epson printing black lines

<t>I just refilled the cart in my epson EF-3010 (black, blue and yellow) the blue and yellow are fine but now the black is printing tiny lines around any areas of black. I've cleaned the nozzles about 4 times and cleaned the head. Is this just temporary from refilling the ink? Its never done this ...

Re: Ink use by dates

Thanks guys. The dates are all different which I thought was a bit weird anyway, they range from Sept 16 - Jan 17. I guess its time for some more just seemed a shame to chuck them! I've printed a few pages off stuff but not used them, would the print outs be no good?

Re: Ink use by dates

<t>Hello,<br/>
I have some sub ink which is out of date (but I haven't used it since it went OOD) - would using it cause problems? What actually happens when the ink is OOD? I hate the idea of wasting it if it doesn't really make a difference but I have no idea if time degrades it somehow - I ...

<t>I know there is a thread which kind of turned into this subject already but I thought a new header might draw more people to this one and get us some more advice. <br/>

I'm having problems, like a few people on here it seems, with black designs around the bottom of the mug. They always ...

Re: Where am i going wrong here?

I'm having problems with darker blues/purples/blacks for sure but this one had a light pastel orange at the bottom and it still went wrong. I did a mug before and after the messed up ones which were darker and they worked. Very strange!

Re: Where am i going wrong here?

<t>I did try some Jet stream paper which someone on here sent me for free and that worked better than the Trupix I've been using for darker colours but the detail wasn't quite as sharp. Still good but not quite as well. I had a whole case of mugs from BMS with the RN coating which actually didn't ...

Re: Where am i going wrong here?

I'm also at a loss and I've stopped taking orders for black mugs. Heating the base didn't do anything really, they look slightly better but still not good enough to sell. I can't really afford to keep wasting mugs like this so its easier to just not do them =/

Re: Where am i going wrong here?

<t>Stupid question but how do you pre-heat the base only? Just have it sticking out of the press? Won't that damage the element? I'm getting the same issue but only with darker coloured mugs at the bottom and its driving me mad. I don't want to tell people I can't do dark mugs and turn away the ...

<r><QUOTE author="Andrew;111580"><s>
</s>First reply was to the OP but 1mm is seriously expecting a lot from your press. The moving handle method might help but it is not an ideal way for long term.<e>
</e></QUOTE>
