Try easing up on the pressure a bit; sometimes it’s just pressing too hard at the top, causing ink to smudge

Yes, you can print on tea towels, but for best results, use a cotton/poly blend rather than 100% cotton. The images generally hold up well to washing if you follow proper sublimation techniques.

The ET-5800 and ET-5880 are great choices for sublimation. Their 6-color systems offer excellent color accuracy.

The XP 1500 is good, but ink availability could be an issue. For around £300, you might also look at the Canon Pixma or HP OfficeJet models—they’re great for card printing.

Yeah, a heat press with a shoe plate is the way to go. You could also consider a cap press or print and cut transfers as alternatives.
