Re: Epson 7890 - printhead problems!!!! HELP please

When I bought the printer oddly enough they gave me an extra light cyan Sawgrass cartridge - should I swap the faulty cyan that's blocking the printhead with this - Any thoughts?

Re: Epson 7890 - printhead problems!!!! HELP please

I didn't know that - The chap that instructed me to do this process said I shouldn't judge the fact it printed perfectly - he suggested the cyan was put into flood mode. When I bought the printer it came with a spare light cyan cartridge as a gift. Should I try replacing the cyan with this?

Re: Epson 7890 - printhead problems!!!! HELP please

I only got the Sawgrass sublimation inks with it - It's v frustrating because I've hardly used the machine at all
that why I can't see how the printhead itself could be damaged. It was fine before I foolishly didn't use it for a month. That's why I thought a good clean out would clear it.

Hi Justin - If I was to return it to standard inks - do you think that may cure the problem? If so any idea on cost for these?

Re: Epson 7890 - printhead problems!!!! HELP please

I decided to upgrade to what I'm told is a more reliable machine the VJ 628. Part of the deal was to give up the warranty on the Epson. They didn't want the Epson back so I thought it was worth trying to fix.

Re: Epson 7890 - printhead problems!!!! HELP please

<t>I have a problem with my Epson 7890 which is only 11 months old, hardly been used - in fact I didn't use it for a month which has caused the cyan printhead to be partially blocked. When running a nozzle check about quarter of lines were visible if that. <br/>
