SG 1000

Hi - This is Graeme from The Transfer Press. If anyone hears of an "nearly new" SG1000 for sale possibly in/around the Sheffield area I'd really appreciate a call or an email - it may have been acquired by fraud and we would be very keen to trace the current owner!

Re: Round Coasters needed

<t>Sorry to hear your glass coasters haven't arrived - if you give me a call in the morning we'll get them tracked for you - we have been made aware that a couple of Fed-Ex depots have been really struggling but if we give them a rocket about specific consignments they do seem to be able to find ...

Re: Happy Chistmas .... !

<t>Many moons ago when I worked in the greetings card industry the production department went awfully quiet when someone came in with a sample of the run of 1800 satin padded 15 x 12 inch cards which had just been delivered (and these were cards which even then - and I think we're talking 1978 here ...

Re: where to buy blanks

<t>It's very interesting to see the comments on here about Paypal!<br/>
<br/>
As many of you know we do not accept Paypal. We are asked maybe once a week about this and my standard response is that the cost of Paypal is so much higher than credit cards - and particularly debit cards, that we would ...

Re: Subli t - platen marks remain after printing.

<t>Hi<br/>
<br/>
The first thing I would suggest is reducing the pressure - with subli printing all you need is a firm and constant contact between transfer and shirt, it's not like standard transfer printing.<br/>
<br/>
You will also find that putting another t-shirt on the base of the press will ...

Re: PBT suppliers

<t>Hi Rich<br/>
<br/>
PBT is a fantastic product for injection moulded 3-D items for sublimation, the Crastin "family" from DuPont as linked to by John in the post above being one of the best ranges but as far as I am aware it is not commercially available in sheet form - indeed if you can find it ...

Re: Dye sub printing on High Density Polyethylene HDPE

<t>There are a wide range of "plastic" materials which will "accept" dyesub printing, and I have spent the last year or so playing with a wide range of samples. The main problem is that many of these materials do not melt but do become "elastic" at the temperatures which you dye-sub at so they are ...

Re: Ink costs: Ricoh vs Epson

<t>To be honest I think the simple truth is that the volume of printers that the "sublimation trade" would take would be so small as compared to the volume of a "standard" model that it would not be worth a major printer manufacturer - which in any case would probably have to be either Epson or ...

Dreamglass wrote "Sadly polyester has an association with old ladies dresses that is difficult to shake off."

We always suggest that people describe Vapor tees (entirely accurately) as "spun microfibre" to avoid this!
