Hi guys!
Lot of you accept paypal via your websites etc...
I wonder how you record paypal fees? Fees are counted as your overheads so this should go nicely to accountant to deduct it from your profits. But how to record it quickly, without checking every single sale?
Any ideas please?

i just import mine monthly and put monthly ebay sales and monthly website sales into the paypal bank account on my accounts if that makes sense, and yes all fees are shown as a total amount

I view Amazon/ Paypal fees as money you never see so I don't enter them into my accounts. The Amazon disbursement (minus their deductions) is part of your turnover as is the single payment from an ebay sale. You don't receive a bill for those deductions unlike your ebay listing fees which are charged to your credit card.

i suppose like most things its each to their own, Gary, on my sage i have a bank account, and a paypal account, therefore i need to show everything coming in and going out, i must say they have now made it easier with the new stats, but some things are just there to confuse us like the payments for a parcel, 5 listings for 1 transaction on some of them
